The main objective of this project was the idea of using films that make UV irradiation visible for the expansion of sensibility SC in the UV region of solar radiation and thereby to increase the efficiency of photovoltaic devices.
In order to achieve this goal, joint team of executors was required to develop the technology for obtaining on the front surface of SC thin layers that convert UV irradiation from the solar radiation spectrum into visible radiation, to study the influence of this new component on the CS efficiency, to optimize the physical parameters of the original structure of elaborated SC .
The main expected result of the above-mentioned works was to increase the ITO / Si solar cell efficiency, which, together with the simplicity of the manufacturing process, increases the competitiveness of their production and mass use.
