Proiectul a inclus dou\u0103 subproiecte, primul fiind focusat pe materiale comutabile care manifest\u0103 tranzi\u021bii de spin induse de transferul de sarcin\u0103 sau transferul electronului redox-indus, iar cel de-al doilea fiind dedicat studiului crosoverlui de spin \u00een compu\u0219ii fierului cu vecin\u0103tatea apropiat\u0103 mixt\u0103, compus\u0103 din ionii de sulf \u0219i nitrogen, precum \u0219i polimerii coordinativi 1D care demonstreaz\u0103 tranzi\u021bii de spin sau ordonare feromagnetic\u0103. A fost planificat\u0103 dezvoltarea modelelor \u0219i abord\u0103rilor teoretice generale pentru explicarea propriet\u0103\u021bilor magnetice \u0219i spectroscopice ale acestor sisteme. \u00cen cazul sistemelor extinse aceste modele au \u021binut cont \u00een mod cuvenit de transferul electronului, superschimb, cuplajul vibronic \u0219i interac\u021biuni cooperative.
