Mihail Iovu<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Activitatea \u0219tiin\u021bific\u0103 al LO este axat\u0103 pe studiul propriet\u0103\u021bilor electrice, optice, fotoelectrice \u0219i luminescente ale diferitor sisteme binare \u0219i ternare de semiconductori calcogenici vitro\u0219i, numite \u0219i sticle calcogenice. O aten\u021bie special\u0103 este acordat\u0103 ob\u021binerii straturilor sub\u021biri fotosensibile din sticle calcogenice, elabor\u0103rii medilor de \u00eenregistrare a informa\u021biei optice \u0219i holografice, elabor\u0103rii diferitor senzori cu fibr\u0103 optic\u0103 pentru domeniul IR al spectrului, dispozitivelor fotonice \u0219i \u00een optoelectronice.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen LO sunt studiate sticlele calcogenice As<sub>2<\/sub>S<sub>3<\/sub>, As<sub>2<\/sub>Se<sub>3<\/sub>, As<sub>2<\/sub>S<sub>3<\/sub>-Sb<sub>2<\/sub>S<sub>3<\/sub>, As<sub>2<\/sub>S<sub>3<\/sub>:Sn, As<sub>2<\/sub>Se<sub>3<\/sub>:Sn, As-Se-Ge, As-S-Se-Sn, Ge-Sb-Te, inclusiv dopate cu elemente de p\u0103m\u00e2nturi rare (Pr<sup>3+<\/sup>, Dy<sup>3+<\/sup>, Nd<sup>3+<\/sup>, Sm<sup>3+<\/sup>, Ho<sup>3+<\/sup>); materialele nanocompozite din polimeri cu compu\u0219i coordonativi din elemente de p\u0103m\u00e2nturi rare (Eu<sup>3+<\/sup>, Tb<sup>3+<\/sup>); nanocompozite din polimeri\/semiconductor anorganic (As<sub>2<\/sub>Se<sub>3<\/sub>, As<sub>2<\/sub>S<sub>3<\/sub>, CdS, CdSe, etc). Din punct de vedere teoretic sunt studiate efectele cuantice cauzate de confinementul dimensiunilor \u00een materialele nanocompozite. LO a participat la realizarea granturilor \u0219i proiectelor interna\u021bionale NATO, FP7, INTAS, CRDF, STCU, bilaterale; men\u021bine rela\u021bi de colaborare \u0219tiin\u021bific\u0103 cu centre de excelen\u021b\u0103 de cercetare din Marea Britanie, Rom\u00e2nia, Ungaria, Rusia, Ukraina, Fran\u021ba, Italia, Polonia, Grecia, Republica Ceh\u0103, Republica Slovac\u0103, Bulgaria.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen LO au fost preg\u0103tite \u0219i sus\u021binute teze de doctori \u00een \u0219tiin\u021be fizice de c\u0103tre colaboratorii E.P.
