Obiectivul major al proiectului a fost elaborarea de noi materiale optice nanostructurate din sticle calcogenice \u0219i nanocompozite \u00een baza de polimeri-semiconductori anorganici cu indici de refrac\u021bie \u00eenal\u021bi (n\u22651.8) pentru fabricarea elementelor difrac\u021bionale cu aplica\u021bii practice \u00een fotonic\u0103 \u0219i optoelectronic\u0103. Elementele difrac\u021bionale, a\u0219a ca re\u021bele de difrac\u021bie, micro-lentile, filtre selective, divizori de fascicule, etc., stau la baza dispozitivelor optoelectronicii moderne. Lucr\u0103rile \u0440roiectului au inclus sinteza de noi materiale optice nanostructurate din sticle calcogenice dopate cu metale (As-S-Se:Me), a nanocompozitelor din polimeri-semiconductori anorganici (CdS, CdSe), a compu\u0219ilor organici coordonativi cu ioni de p\u0103m\u00e2nturi rare (Eu<sup>3+<\/sup>, Tb<sup>3+<\/sup>), studiul propriet\u0103\u021bilor optice, fotoluminescente \u0219i a fenomenelor foto-induse \u0219i electrono-induse. Proiectul de asemenea a inclus calculele teoretice \u0219i analiza caracteristicelor spectrale ale nanostructurilor \u0219i a materialelor nanocompozite (coeficientul de absorb\u021bie optic\u0103, intensitatea fotoluminescen\u021bei, forma liniilor spectrale), studiul efectelor cuantice cauzate de confinementul dimensiunilor particulelor \u00een materiale.
